What is a Worship Service?
C. Hope Church believes that worship is a two-way communication process between God and us. Through a series of activities that make up the course of a Sunday worship service (including singing, sermons, and community updates, for example), we come to meet with God.
God hears from the church family and receives our songs of praise, prayers, reading of Scripture, and offerings.
The church family hears from God through receiving God's truth sung in songs, words and prayers spoken, and preaching from the Bible. Sermons open God's Word to help people see who God is, understand more clearly and apply God's truth to life in the city.
Our desire is for our Sunday worship services to be a time when we gather as God's people to meet with God and with each other after a week of worshipping and walking with God in our homes, workplaces and neighbourhoods. It is a time when we encourage each other in faith so that we can be strengthened in living as Jesus would in the city throughout the rest of the week.
Our style of service features a variety of music, engaging & relevant messages, media arts, and meaningful prayer.
